Mr Dino Faan

Masculine silhouette & sexy curves were the first impressions I had when I first test drove the Kia Stinger 2.0L with Sales Consultant, Mr. Gary Quek (Cycle & Carriage Kia - Alexandra). My initial impression of the interior, when I first sat in the cabin, was that it was very well-built. I especially liked the seat, which is soft yet durable and comes equipped with lumbar support. During the test drive, I found that the Stinger handles itself well on Singapore’s road conditions. Lane changing is swift yet composed with a horsepower of over 200. Something I’d like to commend Gary for was his vast knowledge of the car and timely explanation of its functions as we drove on different road conditions. That's the buying experience I was looking for; positive product demonstration without hard-selling.

Fast forward to 6 months later with the long-term review of the car on a daily usage, apart from aforementioned characteristics of style and quality, I am very pleased with my Stinger. Infotainment & hardware buttons are laid ergonomically without having to fumble about. In addition to the quiet and comfortable cabin, the ventilated seats are particularly useful in Singapore's weather. The Stinger's exhilarating performance has never failed me and the rides feel stable throughout all speed ranges. The suspension is also able to handle uneven road surfaces well, and depending on my mood, I am able to toggle between different drive modes (Eco, Comfort, Sports, Smart) with a simple turn of the drive mode knob. The overall driving experience is no lesser than what the Stinger’s continental counterparts can offer. As for the passenger's review, my family likes the seat design which makes for comfortable rides. My sister appreciates the Integrated Memory System (IMS) with 2-position memory for the driver’s seat in particular, which is of great convenience to us. With a family of 4, regular grocery trips are also pleasant with the generous boot space. Occasionally, I’ll have onlookers admiring the Stinger. Be it the wide stance tiger nose grille design or its reputation as a prized fastback, this is indeed one spicy kimchi!
