WARRANTY GUIDE

Knowing how we service and maintain your ORA car is just as important as knowing when to do it. Here are some useful information about vehicle warranty, servicing and maintenance you might need

Warranty

  • Traction Battery Warranty

    The battery is covered for 8-years/150,000 km (whichever comes first) from the date of vehicle registration.

  • Vehicle Warranty

    From the date of registration, your ORA passenger vehicle is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6-years / 150,000 km (whichever comes first) excluding wear and tear parts.

    It is strongly advised that you always bring your vehicle to qualified specialist workshops such as Cycle & Carriage for servicing at recommended service intervals – every 15,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first.

  • What is covered under warranty?

    Contractual Warranty
    Repair or replacement of parts acknowledged as faulty by the Manufacturer, as well as the labour necessary to repair the vehicle. Towing for immobilised vehicle within Singapore is covered.

    Battery Warranty
    The original equipment 12V battery installed to the vehicles is covered by warranty for 12 months or 20,000km (whichever comes first) from the date of registration.

    Anti-perforation
    Up to 4 years or 150,000km (whichever comes first) for passenger cars from the date of registration, subject to an annual inspection by Cycle & Carriage.

    Genuine Parts
    All genuine parts (exclude wear and tear) replacement and repairs sold by Cycle & Carriage come with a 1-year or 20,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. Genuine parts always come with warranty, unlike non-genuine parts.

    Paintwork
    Original bodywork paint or lacquer defect covered up to 4 years or 150,000km (whichever comes first) for passenger cars from the date of registration.

    Accessories

    Accessories fitted locally such as audio, in-car camera, reverse sensor and GPS system are covered under warranty for 1 year.

  • What is not covered under warranty?

    1. Any accessories or equipment installed by person other than GWM authorised dealer.

    2. Any parts and labor costs incurred in connection with required or recommended maintenance service as outlined in owner’s manual.

    3. Normal maintenance service such as tune-up, air-conditional refrigerant recharging, cleaning and polishing, wheel balancing and alignment, headlight adjustment, replacement of normal wear and tear parts such as filters, windshield wiper, remote control batteries, light bulbs, fuses, bushes, lubricants, coolant, brake shoes/pads/drums, rotors, clutch discs, and tools on vehicle which are not considered by GWM to be warrantable items.

    4. Damage or failures resulting from:

    a. Misuse, accident, theft, or fire (Proper use is outlined in your owner’s manual)

    b. Failure to adhere to manufacturer’s recommendation, including but not limited to, use of fuels, oils, fluids, lubricants, and parts.

    c. Lack of performance of proper maintenance services or neglected regular maintenance.

    d. Use of non-genuine GWM parts

    e. Alteration, tampering or improper repair, adjustments, or modifications.

    f. Repairs not performed by an authorized GWM Service Center.

    g. Formal or informal competitive events, such as rallying or racing, speed trials, track, or off-road use where the vehicle is not intended or marketed for that purpose.

    h. Water damage caused by flood or deep-water fording above the recommended published depth.

    i. Overloading - exceeding the load limits or towing limits as stated in the vehicle owner’s manual.

    j. Glass breakage, unless resulting from defects in material or workmanship.

    k. Dings, dents, chips, scratches, crack, breakage, puncture, corrosion, or surface rust caused by the use of the vehicle by the customer.


    5. Damage caused by natural events, such as fire, airborne fallout (acid rain), tree sap, bird and insect droppings, salt, hail, wind/sandstorm, hailstones, gales, lighting, flood, or other environmental conditions.

    6. Normal noise and vibration or characteristic of a part are not a defect part therefore shall not be claimed under warranty.

    7. Normal deterioration (such as discoloration of painted surfaces, trim and other surfaces, gradual capacity loss with time and use of Lithium-ion / power battery) and mechanical run-in of any parts will not be covered under warranty.

    8. Any vehicle on which the odometer reading has been changed or altered.

    9. Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of use of the vehicle, inconvenience or commercial loss, economic loss, compensation for time loss, finance charges, hire-purchase payment, rental cost of a substitute vehicle arising from breakdown or repair to the vehicles, lodging bills, hospitalisation, loss of belongings and legal expenses.

    10. Lithium-ion / Power Battery on your GWM EV like all rechargeable lithium-ion batteries which will experience some battery capacity degradation or gradual capacity loss with time and use. This is normal and is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty. Provided that SOH value measured does not fall below 70% before the expiry of warranty period.

    11. Rubber parts e.g. hoses, belts, and bushes, which are apt to crack when worn out.

     

    WARRANTY CONDITIONS

    Maintenance and repairs on your vehicle in Singapore must be carried out in accordance with the prescription laid down by GWM. It is strongly advised that such operations are to be performed by qualified specialist workshops such as Cycle & Carriage.

    Failure to comply with the recommended maintenance schedule may invalidate this vehicle warranty. You must provide proof of maintenance records, invoices, etc.

    Your vehicle warranty does not cover damages or malfunctions caused directly or indirectly by:

    1. Use of vehicle for motorsport, races, rallies or resultant accidents.

    2. Alteration to the original specifications or installation of experimental equipment which are neither provided for nor authorised by the Manufacturer or Cycle & Carriage.

    3. Use of non-genuine parts.

    4. Natural/environmental causes.

    5. War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether declared as a war or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, riots, etc.

    6. Vandalism.

    7. Glass damage, if it is not clearly proven that this is due to manufacturing or installation errors.

    8. Any modifications to the vehicle’s system and components, bodywork alterations or accessories fitted to the vehicle after its manufacture, that were not carried out by Cycle & Carriage.

    9. Exceeding permitted axle loads.

    10. Maintenance and/or repairs not performed in accordance with Ora specified procedures or otherwise improperly performed by non-qualified specialist workshops.

    11. Your warranty may become invalid if you continue to drive when a fault becomes apparent. Please refer to owner’s manual.
